Mr. Sander has over 26 years experience in complex commercial litigation and extensive experience in construction lending matters, in particular. Mr. Sander has represented national construction lenders for over a decade and is a founding member and director of the National Association of Residential Construction Lenders. Mr. Sander has provided counsel to lenders regarding (i) borrower defaults under a construction loan agreements; (ii) issue resolution when borrower defaults are the result of borrower-general contractor disputes; (iii) litigation arising from construction loan agreements; (iv) drafting of construction loan agreements and related documents; (v) claims arising from lender inspections; and (vi) other construction lending based claims.
Richard G. Sander graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with high honors, in 1978 and from the University of Colorado School of Law in 1982 and has practiced in Denver, Colorado since that time. In addition to being a member of the Colorado State Bar, Mr. Sander has been admitted to practice law in the United Sates District Court of the District of Colorado, the Ninth Circuit, the Tenth Circuit, the Federal Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Sander has received a peer review rating of AV (highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards) and was selected by his peers as a 2007 Colorado “Super Lawyer” (awarded to top 5 percent of Colorado bar). In October, 2008, Mr. Sander was inducted as a Fellow into the Litigation Counsel of America, in which one-half of one percent of America’s trial lawyers are invited.
