Wayne Pugh, President, Appraisal Institute
R. Wayne Pugh, MAI, CRE, is the President of the Appraisal Institute, of which he has been an active member for more than three decades. He has served as chair of the national Finance Committee, the national Regional Chairs Committee, the Technology Subcommittee, and the recently formed Appraisal Institute Relief Foundation.
In 1975, Mr. Pugh founded R. Wayne Pugh and Company, a real estate consulting and appraisal firm in Baton Rouge, La., of which he is CEO. He also serves as President of Software For Real Estate Professionals, which publishes real estate appraisal software, and as the President of Real Estate Data Services, which provides various real estate data to appraisers, Realtors and lenders in his local Louisiana market.
For the past several years, Mr. Pugh has taught the Cool Tools seminar throughout North America. He is also the creator of the Appraisal Institute's online Cool Tools Seminar and is a regular contributor to the Cool Tools column in the Appraisal Institute’s quarterly magazine, Valuation Insights & Perspectives.
